This meeting will be held in-person in the Executive Conference Room at the Tukwila Community Center, 12424
42nd Avenue South. The meeting will also be held on Microsoft Teams.

• Cynthia: mural placards were delivered to Foster High School
• Sheila: have more art displayed. Create a process.
o Pinky: potentially do quarterly.
o Michael: next meeting will provide a list of city spaces for City of Tukwila art
pieces

• Budget Update from Parks & Recreation Fiscal Analyst David Rosen
o Commission requested breakdown of Commission Budget
15. New Business
• Storytelling Grant: Olisa Enrico has a storytelling project. Story of migration stories. QR
codes around the city. Recordings exist on the City website.
o Michael will investigate the location.
o Sheila: Action Tukwila might want to collaborate. Create community projects.
• Ongoing update regarding Foster PAC: No updates
• Strategic Plan Update (Phase 2: Community Engagement & Long -Range Vision Sessions)
o Four sessions, different dates and times (TBD)
o Consultant will design and facilitate participatory sessions to engage a wide
cross-section of the community in contributing to a long-range vision that
articulates the desired 10 -year impacts of the strategic plan.
o These sessions will capture the diverse ideas, experiences, and perspectives of all
the participants.
o Cost $14,000
■ Michael will invite Una McAlinden to the next meeting to put more detail
to the engagement sessions.
• Sarah Kavage: willow chair replacement proposal ($4,000)
o Commission chooses not to take action
