I DIE I A I TEM 1/2-271 (r I I I CITY OF TUKWIL4/ WASHINGTON 1 I R PEALED BY 1 a.©7 ORDIBANCE NO. 1048 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON RELATING TO THE POSITION OF MAYOR PRO TEMPORE AND AMENDING SECTION III OF ORDINANCE NO. 1008. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION III. Mayor Pro Tempore A. B4enn4a4 }y; At the second regular meeting of a new Geuee44 in January of each year, the members of the City Council shall elect from their number a Mayor pro tempore who shall hold office at the pleasure of the Council, and in case of the absence of the Mayor, perform the duties of Mayor except that he shall not have the power to appoint or remove any officer or to veto any ordinance. If a vacany occurs in the office of Mayor, the City Council at their next regular meeting shall elect from their number a Mayor, who shall serve until a Mayor is elected and certified at the next municipal election. This requirement is in addition to that of R.C.W. 35.24.190. B. The Mayor Pro Tempore shall additionally be the President of the Council.
