Form F.P. 100 /6 53-0 - Norita Deckard From: TODD STONER <toddestoner@hotmail.com> Sent: Tuesday, May 29, 2018 2:33 PM To: Fire Marshal Subject: Taco Bell West Valley Hwy Correction Notice Hello, Just a follow up to the conversation I had with the gentleman last week about our correction notice. We have replaced the duct detector that was submerged in water. The notice also lists for us to replace the fire alarm panel with a fully addressable panel. I am not sure if this panel was damaged in any way or if this is just a recommendation to bring up to code. The store level team did not think the panel was damaged, but that may be incorrect second hand information. The gentleman that I spoke with last week was very helpful as I talked with him about exploring alternative options for service from companies outside of Tyco. Tyco was proposing to charge us a ridiculous $360/hour to work on our equipment and we have many stores with their systems in and have used them for years. So I would appreciate it if first of all, you could confirm that the panel was damaged and does need to be upgraded or even if it was not damaged but you are requiring upgrade, then we will certainly get done. Secondly, I would like to ask for an extension as we explore other companies to provide service. Lastly, I apologize for not remembering the name of the gentleman that answered my call last week, but wanted to thank him for going above and beyond in his service in answering my questions. Please call with any questions. Thank you, Todd Stoner Sr. Director of Operations Northwest Restaurants, Inc. 253-653-7513 1 City of Tukwila Fire Department FIRE WATCH REQUIRED Due to the inoperative fire protection system(s) in your facility, you are required to provide a fire watch per City of Tukwila Ordinance #1900, section 12-C and Ordinance #1901, section 10-C (see reverse side). FAX paperwork to 206-575-4439 to verify the completion of repair work and/or the restoration of system monitoring, in order to end the fire watch. The fire watch is required 24 hours a day. Designated employees may serve as the fire watch during business hours, while performing their regular job. Fire watch personnel must be aware of, and accept the duties of the fire watch. After hours fire watch personnel must be on location and must patrol the building following the close of business. Every two hours they must call 206-575-4407 (a line covered by an answering machine), and state the following: 1. Your name. 2. Location address. 3. Time of day. 4. If everything is OK, state all clear. If you discover an emergency during your patrol , call 9-1-1 immediately to report it.
