Dear Mr. & Mrs. Marsh:
I'm in receipt of your letter dated April 22, 2003, requesting relief for the fire department
required turnaround. I cannot allow you to omit the required turnaround completely, but will be
able to grant you the reduced depth from the required 65' to 35'. This reduced depth in the
turnaround will still allow fire department engine companies and aid/medic units to utilize the
turnaround as intended. This requirement was outlined during the design review meeting you
had with City of Tukwila staff. Copies of the related requirements were given to you prior to
starting this project.
