This is a submittal for the replacement of two rate of rise heat detectors in Seattle Favorites
to fixed temp heat detectors. We will also add two heat detectors in the freezer. The two
freezer detectors will be tied into the existing heat detector circuit. The job site address is
941 Industry DR Tukwila WA 98188. There are no changes to the audible or visual circuit so
the power calculations will not change. The system will be installed per NFPA72 and Tukwila
Fire Code.

1) ALL WORK TO CONFORM TO NFPA 72 AND NEC STANDARDS
2) WALL MOUNT HORN STROBES AND STROBES TO BE MOUNTED 80"-96" AFF
OR 6" BELOW CEILING WHICHEVER IS LOWER.
3) PULL STATIONS TO BE MOUNTED:
A) 48" - 53" AFF
B) WITHIN 5' OF THE DOOR.
4) FIRE ALARM CONTROL PANEL TO BE ON DEDICATED CIRCUIT
5) WIRING METHOD TO BE OPEN CABLE UNLESS BELOW 7' AND EXPOSED,
THEN IT WILL BE CONTAINED WITHIN CONDUIT.
6) SMOKE DETECTORS TO BE INSTALLED:
A) MORE THAN 36" FROM ANY HVAC DIFFUSER
B) NOT IN CLOSE PROXIMITY TO FLUORESCENT LIGHTING
C) AT LEAST 6" DOWN FROM PEAK IN SLOPED CEILING
7) ALL JUNCTION BOXES, MUD RINGS AND BOX COVERS TO BE PAINTED RED
(INSIDE AND OUT).
8) EXTERIOR HORN STROBES TO BE MOUNTED IN THE TOP 2/3 OF THE
BUILDING STRUCTURE FACING THE ANTICIPATED FIRE DEPARTMENT ACCESS
ROAD.
9) BATTERY CALCULATION ARE UNCHANGED. ALL NOTIFICATION
APPLIANCES ARE EXISTING AND ADDITIONAL HEAT DETECTORS ARE ZERO
LOAD DEVICES.
10) SEAL PENETRATIONS AND PIPE INTO FREEZER TO PREVENT
CONDENSATION.
