RE: CY-TECH Shut down #01-5-285
During the actual installation, our installer found it necessary to exceed the 14"-0" maximum spacing
originally proposed. I have been informed our maximum spacing is 14'-B".
The following GEM specification sheet allows spacing up to 18x48 twe t, when the 112 K-
Factor sprinkler is used. We have 145 psi static pressure at this location. The required starting pressure
°MU, psi will surely be met.
Please accept this revision at the field inspection time.

The existing wet pipe system is assumed to be designed at .39/5600 square feet. The roof system is
spaced at 96 square feet per sprinkler. With a K factor of 8.0, the starting pressure at the roof sprinkler is
21.9psi.
The new office area will be protected with GEM F895 Extended Coverage Ordinary Hazard Pendent
Sprinklers, K=11.2. Maximum spacing will be 14x14. The manufacturer requires 7.0 psi for this spacing
condition. We therefore conclude adequate pressure will be available to supply the chosen sprinklers.
Please advise us when the plan review is complete.
