I have been informed our maximum spacing is 14'-B". The following GEM specification sheet allows spacing up to 18x48 twe t, when the 112 K- Factor sprinkler is used. The roof system is spaced at 96 square feet per sprinkler. With a K factor of 8.0, the starting pressure at the roof sprinkler is 21.9psi. The new office area will be protected with GEM F895 Extended Coverage Ordinary Hazard Pendent Sprinklers, K=11.2. Maximum spacing will be 14x14. The manufacturer requires 7.0 psi for this spacing condition. We therefore conclude adequate pressure will be available to supply the chosen sprinklers.
