Dear Al,
In reviewing the abov.e mentioned project plans, please
note the following items:
1. Per UFC Section 10.104(8), "All doors in or
leading to exits shall be maintained openable
from the inside without the use of a key' or.
u'
any special knowledge or effort at all times
when the building or area served thereby is
occupied."
2. Per UFC Section 10.113, at every required exit
doorway, and wherever otherwise required to
clearly indicate the direction of egress, an
exit sign with letters at least six inches high
and readily distinguishable shall be maintained.
3. Fire extinguishers shall be provided per NFPA #10
is
as a minimum requirement.
One dry chemical fire extinguisher rated 2 -A,>
10 B -C is required.
4. Per NFPA requirements, extinguishers with a gross

weight of 40 pounds or less shall be hung so
that the top of the extinguisher is not higher
than 60 inches above the floor. Extinguishers
weighing more than 40 pounds, shall be hung so
that the top of the unit is not higher than 42
