UNLAWFUL,
OR UNFIT TO OCCUPY
STRUCTURE
WARNING: This structure is hereby declared to be unsafe, unlawful, and/or unfit for
human occupancy. As the owner(s), owner's authorized agent(s), or person(s)
responsible for this structure, you are hereby required to complete tasks listed in the
"Corrective Action Required" section below no later than the stated deadline. If you fail
to comply, the City may condemn this structure and order the structure to be
immediately vacated and boarded. In addition, the City may institute other proceedings
at law or in equity to restrain, correct, or abate the violation. Any action taken by the City
shall be charged against the real estate which the structure is located and shall be a lien
upon such real estate.
TMC 8.45.110 The person(s) responsible named on a Notice of Violation and Order issued
by the Code Enforcement Officer, pursuant to TMC Section 8.45.070, may appeal the
Notice by requesting such appeal within 10 calendar days after being served with the
Notice pursuant to TMC Section 8.45.070. The request shall be in writing and include the
applicable appeal fee as specified in the City's fee schedule adopted by resolution of the
City Council as set forth in TMC Chapter 8.45. Appeals must be sent to the City Clerk's
office.

House, Construction of the Deck, Electrical, Plumbing and Gas, or Mechanical
work conducted between
April 2022 and December 2022.

1. Obtain a Single -Family Residential Remodel and Addition Permit from the City of
Tukwila. For more information regarding how to obtain said permit, please
contact the City of Tukwila Department of Community Development at 206-431-
3670.
Submit a Single -Family Residential Remodel and Addition Permit application,
plans, structural engineer plans and documents, and all other required
documents: January 16, 2023
2. Obtain additional permits, required by the TMC, related to the remodel, including
but not limited to Electrical, Plumbing & Gas, and Mechanical. For more
information, please contact the Department of Community Development at 206-
431-3670 and ask to speak with a Building Plans Examiner regarding additional
permit requirements for the house.
Apply for all additional required permits after the Single -Family Residential
Remodel and Addition Permit has been issued.
3. Apply for and obtain a Rental Business License and schedule a Rental Inspection
once the license is issued. Contact the Rental Housing Program at
RentalHousinq(a'7TukwilaWA.gov or 206-431-3674 for information regarding this
license and inspection requirements.
