Dear Chief Keefe:
We are in receipt of your letter dated October 20, 1997 with
regards to the removal of the structures located in the 7100
block of South Grady Way. In as much as there is a permit
process that we must go thru including a 10 day minimum for
asbestos removal from Puget Sound Air Quality Control, we will
not be able to have them removed within the 14 day period
specified.
Since we were told on many occasions that we would not be able to
act on this project until we had the SEPA approval, we have not
yet executed a contract for the removal. Upon receipt of your
letter, contact was made with two of the interested bidders to
get us their bids immediately. We are very anxious to get this
part of the project done and will spend what ever time is
necessary to expedite the process.
We appreciate the positive response from everyone in the City
Administration and the cooperation we have recieved. We will
keep you informed of our progress on this matter.

We have determined that per Uniform Fire Code 103.4.5, the.
buildings located at 7100 South Grady Way consitut.e a hazard to
public safety and need to be demolished.
Please have these buildings demolished within 14 days. A
reinspection will be conducted at that time. If you have any
questions regarding this issue, please call the Fire Prevention
Bureau at 575-4407.
Enclosed you will find a copy of Uniform Fire Code :103.4.5.
