Two (2) 20 BC portable fire extinguishers are to be on site within 50' of the operation. 3. Rope or ribbon barricades must be provided circling 10' from the operation or be enclosed in a fenced yard. 4. "No Smoking" signs must be posted in readily visible locations. 5. No hot works allowed unless the tanks are certified gas free. A separate Fire Department Permit is required for cutting and ;welding operations. PROCEDURES: 1. Call twenty-four (24) hours prior to arrange for an appointment. 2. Remove all flammable or combustible tank and from connecting lines. 3. To ensure that the tank atmosphere has been inerted, one (1) pound of dry ice (Carbon Dioxide) per 50 gallon capacity of the tank must be inserted in the tank. (A 1,000 gallon tank would require 20 pounds of dry ice.) This should be done prior to the use of heavy equipment for excavating. See Reverse Side removal to liquids from a. Wait a minimum of 60 minutes for dry ice to vaporize. Vapors should begin to show at the fill pipe at this time. June 8, 1992 a M.A. SEGALE, INC. Site Layout Drawing with tank location and access routes. 2. Manufacturer's Specifications of the LPG Burner Controls, and Valving to be used in conjunction with the tank. The equipment to utilize the LPG gas is a Boeing Construction Equipment, Inc. manufactured drum mix asphalt plant. This plant has been in service for ten years, and has been on dozens of locations through -out Washington using LPG gas. The asphalt plant utilizes a Genco Low Pressure Gas burner. All valving is manufactured for the use of LPG gas. (See manufacturer's specifications sheets for approval and safety information) . The LPG fuel tank will be supplied by Petrolane, Inc. and is in accordance with all ASME standards for stationary tanks. The tank has been inspected and stamped by Petrolane, Inc. All plumbing and valves will be checked for proper operation prior to use. Our plant operator has operated this plant for ten years, and is trained in the proper safety procedures for the operation of the plant. The manufacturer's operating instructions and safety manuals are at the plant for review. P.O.
