HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 0206 - 1951 Police Judge Salary Schedule (Repealed by Ord 212)ORDINANCE NO 206 REPEALED BY ORD 212 AN ORDIdANCE REPEALING QR'9INANCE NO. 72 AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO APPOINT A POLICE JUDGE, PROVIDING FOR BOND AND FIXING THE SALARY AND FEES OF THE POLICE JUDGE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TUKWILA: Section 1. That the Mayor be authorized to appoint one of the Justices of the Peace, Tukwila Precinct, as Police Judge for the Town of Tukwila. Section 2. The Police Judge of the Town of Tukwila shall perform the duties of his office as perscribed by law and ordi- nance. He shall execute a bond to the Town of Tukwila in the sum of Five Hundred Dollars($500.00) conditioned for the faithful per- formance of his duties, and that he will faithfully account to the Town of Tukwila for all monies coming into his hands, belonging to the Town, and pay the same over to the proper officer. Section 3. The Police Judge shall receive as compensation for his services the sum of Fifty Dollars (w50.00) per year payable annually. He shall receive the same fees as are allowed to the Justices of the Peace. In all cases before the Police Judge in which the Town of Tukwila is the prevailing party he may include as statu- tory attorney's fee a sum not to exceed Five Dollars(45.00). Section 4. That Ordinance No.72 be, and is hereby repealed. Section 5. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its final passage and approval by the Mayor.
