Needed for Puget Sound RFA
Annexation Proposition
The City Council has acted to place a
proposition to annex into the Puget Sound
Regional Fire Authority on the August 1, 2023
ballot and is now seeking individuals to serve on
the voters’ pamphlet pro and con committees.
Individuals will be appointed by the Council to
provide statements in favor of or in opposition to
the ballot measure. Each committee is limited to
three individuals, though an unlimited number of
people can assist in the preparation of each
statement. Each Committee must designate one
spokesperson. The Pro/Con Statements will be
due to King County Elections by May 23, 2023.
If you are interested in serving on either the pro
or con committee, submit your name and a
brief statement of interest by Monday, May 1

2297. Please be sure to indicate which
committee on which you would like to serve. The
City Council is expected to make the final
appointments at the May 8, 2023 Council
meeting.
Stay engaged in the Allentown Truck Reroute Project
Thank you to everyone that participated in the City of Tukwila’s first
phase of scoping for the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) to
evaluate alternatives to reroute existing BNSF truck traffic in Allentown!
We’ve reviewed your comments from the first phase and are ready to
share feasible rerouting alternatives. There will be a formal 30-day
comment period from May 3 through June 1 to collect feedback on the
alternatives.
Here’s how to learn more and provide comments:
· Attend our Community Meeting on May 23
Where: Tukwila Community Center
When: May 23, 2023 from 5:30pm – 7pm

AllentownTruckReRoute@TukwilaWA.gov by May 15.
· Submit an online comment form on our project website
· Email your comment to AllentownTruckReRoute@TukwilaWA.gov
· Mail your comment (must be postmarked by June 1, 2023)
