Re: Canyon Parking Area
The review of the Canyon Parking Area Plan (Job No. 42800) Storm Sewer
and Armco End Sections and Culvert End Treatment Design has been
provided by the Public Works Department with the following comments:
Required permits to be applied for and obtained a minimum of 24 -hours prior
to construction are as follows:
1) Curb cut /access -.city Maintenance parking stall*
2) Storm sewer permit
*One parking stall shall be provided immediately adjacent to the City's storm
drainage facility, including post and chain barrier signing and striping
designating this stall availability for Tukwila Maintenance vehicles at all
times. On completion of parking facility, two sets of keys to locks shall
be provided to the Public Works Maintenance Shops (433- 1861).
Class B bedding shall be provided for all. storm lines. 36" CMP shall be
minimum 14 guage galvanized steel coated inside as.per APWA or minimum 14 guage
aluminum.
A retention facility is also required to store the difference in the 10 -year
flow rate in the storm drainage system from undeveloped land to the proposed
development prior to final approval of-a storm drain application. Please submit
this retention design for inclusion of your final plans.
