Dear Mr. Roed:
The review of the site plan no. 80069 has been provided by the Public
Works Department with the following comments:
Required permits by this department to be applied for and obtained
24 -hours prior to construction are as follows:
Hauling Hauling permits must be applied for when any hauling
is done on City streets. A $2,000 bond must be posted along
with a copy of the hauler's certificate of insurance. Permit
fee is $25.00 unless the hauler has a City Business License where
the fee is waived.
'Sanitary Side Sewer All buildings under 30,000 square feet
have a permit fee of $150.00 per connection; $20.00 for inspection
for a total permit fee of $170.00.
Curb Cut /Access /Sidewalk Provide sidewalk per sidewalk ordinance
and City of Tukwila Standard Plan (enclosed). Permit fee $25.00.
Storm Drainage /Retention A plan that provides undergrounding to
storm ditch in front of property on Interurban Avenue S. shall
be provided and approved prior to issuing this permit. Permit
fee $25.00.
Domestic Water Per "Notes: "Item #2, revise PVC Class 2 to
Standard Galvanized Iron Steel Pipe, Copper Tubing Pipe, or
Class 52 D.I.P. per Ordinance #1134. 1" meter $400.00
Additional Comments
Fire services, if any, shall be provided per the requirements of

SMOKE DETECTOR INSTALLATION REOUIREMENTS
TUKWILA FIRE DEPARTMENT
APPROVAL:
Complete information regarding including specifica-
tions, wiring diagrams, and floor plans, shall be submitted
to the Tukwila Fire Department for approval prior to install-
ation of any equipment or wiring.
All devices, combinations of devices, and equipment cons.t.ructed
and installed in conformity with NFPA 72 shall be approved.for
the purposes for which they are intended.
Upon completion of the installation of a system, 'a satisfactory
test of the entire installation shall be made in the presence
of a representative of the Tukwila Fire Department.
DESIGN:
The alarm system shall have electrically supervised circuits
employing a direct circuit connection between signaling devices
at the protected premises and signal receiving equipment in an
approved, remote central station. U. L. Approved Central Station)
Electrically operated circuits, instruments, and devices,
together with necessary electrical energy, shall transmit alarms
and supervisory and trouble signals, necessary for the protection
of the life and property.
The alarm system shall be electrically supervised so that the
occurrence of a break or a ground fault condition of its install
ation wiring circuit which prevents the required operation of
the system, or failure of its main power supply source, 'will
b,e indicated by a distinctive trouble signal.
Detectors shall be installed in all rooms, halls, storage areas,
basements, attics, lofts, spaces above suspended ceilings, and
other sub divisions and accessible spaces, and inside all closets,
elevator shafts, enclosed stairways, dumbwaiter shafts and chutes.
A secondary (stand -by power) supply for operation of the system
in the event of failure of the primary power supply, shall be
provided. The secondary power supply source shall be independ-
ent of other sources.

Gentlemens
I have received a copy of the letter from Smith Swenson, Inc. to your
office dated June 5, 1980, concerning the structural plan check for the
above -named project. In a telecon between myself and Adam Kerner of
Smith Swenson, Inc. on June 9, 1980, the following changes were agreed
upon to satisfy the comments made in the above mentioned letters
1. The maximum depth of earth retained by the wall shown in Section
E -6, Sheet S -6, is to be changed from 6' -0" maximum to 5'0" max
imum, above the finished floor. This change eliminates the
problem of inadequate resistance to sliding. The reduction in
wall height was verified by George Minniear of Poe Construction.
It is his opinion that the maximum height of the earth will
be 4' -0" above the finished floor.
2. Mechanical equipment loads and locations are as shown in the
attached sketch.
3. All shear wall nails are to be changed from 8d common to 10d
common.
