Southcenter Commerce Building Structural Plan Check Attentions Al Pieper Gentlemens I have received a copy of the letter from Smith Swenson, Inc. to your office dated June 5, 1980, concerning the structural plan check for the above -named project. In a telecon between myself and Adam Kerner of Smith Swenson, Inc. on June 9, 1980, the following changes were agreed upon to satisfy the comments made in the above mentioned letters 1. The maximum depth of earth retained by the wall shown in Section E -6, Sheet S -6, is to be changed from 6' -0" maximum to 5'0" max imum, above the finished floor. This change eliminates the problem of inadequate resistance to sliding. The reduction in wall height was verified by George Minniear of Poe Construction. It is his opinion that the maximum height of the earth will be 4' -0" above the finished floor. 2. Mechanical equipment loads and locations are as shown in the attached sketch. 3. All shear wall nails are to be changed from 8d common to 10d common. Please call should you have any further questions.
