SUBJECT: N.C. MACHINERY SHORELINE PERMIT
As requested, we enclose application maters al s 'for 'a Shoreline
Management Substantial Development Permit to construct a Dynomo-
meter Test facility at the former "Cal -Ore" site. Also enclosed
is a citation from•the Washington Administrative Code concerning
shoreline permit amendments and a copy of the 1975 Final Order
from the original project.
Please let me know if you have questions about these documents,
or about the shoreline permit. process.

In reviewing the above mentioned Project plans, please note
the following items:
It Per UFC Section 10104(b>, EXIT doors shall be openable
from the inside without the use of a key or any special
knowledge or effort.
2^ Per UFC Section 12^113(b), at every reouired exit
doorway, and wherever otherwise remuired to clearly indicate
the direction of e0ress, an EXIT sign with letters at least
six inches high and readily distinguishable shall be
maintained^
3^ Fire extinguishers shall be Provided per NFPA 010, as a
minimum reouirement,
One dry chemical fire extinduisher rated 2-010M is
reouired^
4^ Per NFPA rem6ire0ents, extinguishers with a gross
weight of 40 pounds or less shall be hung so that the top of
the extinguisher is not higher thin 60 inches above the
floor. Units weighina'N0re than 40 pOunds shall be not
higher than 42 inches above the floor*
Exlinouishers shall be located so as to be in Plain
view (if at all possible), or if not in plain view,
they shall be identified with a sign stating "Fire
Extinguisher"v with an arrow pointing to the unit.
5^ Insure that adectuatm electrical service (receptacles)
is installed, This will`help to eliminate the future
