The recessed meeting of the Tukwila City Council was called to order by A.G. Radford
the Radf 'mayor
John B. Strander at 8:00 P.M. Co nci.lmen present were, Stan Minklcr, ors.
E.U. Ives Jerry Hamilton Richard Bowen
First order of business was a rezone of Slade May, as there was no one present to
approve or disapprove this rezone Er. :ii- ter read a letter received from P uoet
+estern in this regard.
In brief the letter contained the belie 7 that a rezone would not be wise at this
time.
Er. Hamilton moved that council deny the rezone of that certian area, seconded by
Mr. Radford and carried.
The City Clerk read a letter of appreciation received from Mayor .Baker, this too
will become part of the permanent record.
In reference to a letter received from John Berkowitz a meeting has been scheduled
sir. Berkowita will uwet on Thursdy,;r zrith George Long, Jerry Hamilton and others of
street and water committees to dicuss the freeway problems.
Mr. Radford, Mr. Long and Mr. Kelly were recuested by .l your Strander ..o rn et with
the officials of Stoneway Sand. and Gravel in regard to a proposed building site
in Tukwila.
Mr. Minkler moved that all bills approved by the finance committee be allowed and
warrents drawn up for their respective amounts, seconded by ::r. Ives and carried.
At an informal meeting April 4, 1962 new committes and committee Chairmen were
appointed. Mayor Strander asked at this time if all trcm appointments have been
I accepted.
The new committees are as follows:
