Councilmen present were Stan Minkler A.G. Radford E.W. Ives Jerry Hamilton Richard Bowen and Bill Aliment. Mr. Minkler moved that all bills approved by the finance committee be allowed and warrants drawn up for their respective amounts, seconded by Mr. Ives and carried. At this time a public hearing on rezoning of certian property was held. rezone of property on south 162nd bordered on the south by 53rd and the proposed freeway. Mr. Aliment moved that council approvedfrom R 1.12.0 to RMH. seconded by Mr. Ives and carried. Mr. Long reported on Building permits issued in May. Mr. Long was directed By Mayor Strander to check into the actual cost of these buildings, as to their true mclanx estimate. Mr. Radford reporting for the street committee stated that a meeting was held with Mr. Berzenski and Mr. Wing, wherein the specification of construction of new streets for Andover Park was discussed. Mr. Hamilton reported on sanitation. Mr. Aliment reported for the fire dept. Mr. Bowen reported on Public buildings and Grounds. Reporting for the Beautification Committee, Mr. Ives stated that a new flag pole will be erected in front of the Tukwila Post Office. Mr. Minkler reported on the Planning Commission. Mayor Strander at this time appo.'inted Mr. Carl Bergstrom to the Planning Commission, his term to expire January 1965. Mr. Minkler moved that council accept Mayor Stranders appointment, seconded by Mr. n amilton and carried. Mr. Ives reported on schools. Mr. Hamilton reported on licenses, a renewal license was issued to Foster c. Golf Links for beer by bottle on the premises, also for Tukwila Grocer for 1• the sale of beer and wine. Mr. Smklton moved that wuuncil accept these renewals, seconded by Mr. Bowen and carried Mr. Aliment reported for the Insurance committee. Mr. Ives brought up a complaint he had received in regard to taaffic on 149th S. This was referred to the police partment• June 4,1962 Mr. Minkler moved that Ordinance No. 362 relating to Grading and Excavating be placed on its first reading, seconded by Mr. Ives and carried. Mr. Hamilton moved that Ordinance No. 362 be placed on its second reading seconded by Mr. Ives and carried. Mr. Ives moved that Ordinance No. 362 be placed on its third and final passage, seconded by Mr. Aliment and carried. The meeting was recessed to re convene Monday June 18, at 8:00 P.M.
