The recessed meeting of the Tukwila City Council was called to order by the Mayor
John B. Strander at 8 :00 P.M. Councilmen present were Stan Minkler, A.G. Radford,
R.K. Doyle, Jerry Hamilton, Richard Bowen, William Aliment and E.W. Ives.
First order of business was the discussion of the bid for the Water Department
truck. Mr. Doyle moved that council accept the bid from Renton Ford, seconded by
Mr. Hamilton and carried. The City Clerk will notify Renton Ford of this action.
Mr. Diehl read a letter received from South End Concrete Co, wherein they withdrew
there bid for sewer construction work in Andover Industrial Park 2
Mr. Hamilton moved that council disregard the bid from South End Concrete Co.,
seconded by Mr. Ives and carried. Coluccio Brothers will then be the Contractors
for bothethe water and sewer LID #2 and LID #3.
Council discussed at length the annexation proposal, this was tabled til the September
meeting.
Mr. Aliment read Resolution 154 pretaining to the funds of the Volunteer Fire
Department. Mr. Bowen moved that council accept this resolution, seconded by Mr. l'
Minkler and carried.
Mr. Diehl from Harstad Associates and Mr. Berkowitz of the State Highway Department
discussed with council the plans of the highway Department in regard to the sewer
lines which shall be installed.
Mr. Diehl presented Mr. Hnson ►s plat to council, Mr. Diehl will notify Mr. Hanson
of his findings. Mr. Ray Reed also from Harstad read a letter with supplemental
information in regard to the Utility lines in South Center.
The meeting was recessed to re- convene Monday August 20, 1962 at 8:00 P.M.
