The report of the water dept. was read and placed on file. At this time Mr. Minkler read resolution 156 for Mrs. Newton, denoting her many years of faithful service to the town and now City of Tukwila. Mr. Minkler moved that council accept this resolution seconded by Mr. Radford and carried. Mr. Long reported 4 building permits issued for the month of August. M-Ir. Radford reporting for the street department stated that the specifications have been received from Bon Marche in regard to streets in the South Center project. Mr. Minkler report- ed for the water department. Mr. namilton reported for sanitation. Mr. Aliment reported on the fire department. Mr. Minkler reporting for the Civil Service stated that every thing in that department is running smoothly. Mr. Doyle had nothing to report on the Flood Control. Mr. Bowen reported on buildings The report on parks and beautification was given by Mr. Ives. Mr. Minkler reported for the Planning Commission. Mr. Ives reported for the school committee. Mr. Hamilton reported for the License committee. and Mr.. Doyle reported on Metro. Mayor Strander discussed with council metro building pipe lines within the city limits of Tukwila. An Ordinance 364 regarding the boundaries of certian disputed areas of electrical service within the city of Tukwila, was presented at this time. Mr. Doyle moved that Ordinance 364 be placed on its first reading, seconded by Mr. Aliment and carried. I` This being read by Mr. Ehrlichman our attorney Mr. Hamilton moved that Ordinance 364 be placed on its second reading, seconded by Mr. Aliment and carried. Mr. Doyle moved that Ordinance 364 be placed on its third and final passage, seconded by Mr. Hamilton and carried. Mayor Strander read a letter from the highway Department, wherein the Highway Dep— rtment requested that all streets in line of the freeway be deeded to them. resolution 157 relating to the Arterial street Plan was presented to council. Mr. nilton moved that council accept this resolution as read, seconded by Mr. Ives and carried. Mr. Long discussed with council a slide (earth) on the Peltier property, which is endangering the right of —way. The families in the homes along this r of way will be notified of the imminent danger The meeting was recessed to meet Monday September 17, 1962 at 8:00 P.M.
