Ser- U6h(s) Repealed Repealed by Card # 2532 v 1%LA, ..........V s: Q: rr 2 C ity it a f T kw o u Washington Ordinance No. 174 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1405 AS CODIFIED AT TMC 2.33.030, REVISING THE TERMS OF APPOINTMENT OF LIBRARY ADVISORY BOARD; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Library Advisory Board was created in 1986 by Ordinance No. 1405 and amended by Ordinance No. 1520, and WHEREAS, it is preferable for all five positions to have terms of two years; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, HEREBY ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Ordinance No. 1405, as codified at Section 2.33.030 of the Tukwila Munici- pal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: Terms of appointment- Staffing. All five positions of the Library Advisory Board will serve two -year terms of ap- pointment. With any appointment to a position vacated, the expiration of the term of the appointment shall be to fill only the expired position of such term. Vacancies shall be filled for unexpired terms as soon as possible in the manner in which members of the Board are regularly chosen. Staffing shall be provided as directed by the Mayor and in cooperation with the library district personnel. Section 2. Severability. If any section, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance should be held to be invalid or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity or unconstitutionality shall not affect the validity or constitutionality of any other section, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance. Section 3. Effective Date. This ordinance or a summary thereof shall be published in the official newspaper of the City, and shall take effect and be in full force five (5) days after passage and publication as provided by law.
