AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, REPEALING ORDINANCE
NOS. 1679, 1689, 1706, 1721 AND 1737 REGARDING THE
HIGHWAY 99 CERTAIN USES MORATORIUM,
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND ESTABLISHING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Tukwila has adopted a moratorium on certain uses development in the
City pending adoption of a new Comprehensive Plan and a new Zoning Code; and
WHEREAS, on December 4, 1995, the City of Tukwila adopted a new Comprehensive Plan and
a new Zoning Code in order to implement the goals and policies of the Growth Management Act of
1990 and the King County Countywide Planning Policies; and
WHEREAS, the moratorium is no longer necessary;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, HEREBY ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Repealer. Ordinance Nos. 1679, 1689,1706, 1721, and 1737 are hereby repealed.
Section 2. Severability. If any section, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance should be
held to be invalid or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity or
unconstitutionality shall not affect the validity or constitutionality of any other section, sentence,
clause or phrase of this ordinance.
Section 3. Effective Date. This ordinance or a summary thereof shall be published in the
official newspaper of the City, and shall take effect and be in full force five (5) days after passage and
publication as provided by law.

On /a the City Council of the City of Tukwila passed Ordinance No.
7 S repealing ordinances which adopted a moratorium on certain uses on
Highway 99 in the City of Tukwila, pending adoption of a new Comprehensive Plan and a new
Zoning Code; providing for severability and establishing an effective date.
The full text of this ordinance will be mailed without charge to anyone who submits a
written request to the City Clerk of the City of Tukwila for a copy of the text.
