REPEALED BY ORD 266
AN ORDINANCE REVISING SeCTION 3 OF ORDINANCE NO 179 AND ADDING
SECTION 20 TO ORDINANCE NO 179, ORDINANCES S OF THE TOWN OF
TUKWILA, WASHINGTON.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, THAT SEC .8 OF ORDINANCE NO. 179 BE REVISED AND THAT
SEC. 20 BE ADDED TO ORDINANCE NO. 179 TO READ AS FOLLOWS:
Section 8. (a) "Trailer or Camp Car "shall mean any vehicle or
structure mounted on wheels used or maintained for use as a con-
veyance upon highways or city streets, so designed and constructed
as to permit occupancy thereof as a temporary dwelling or sleeping
place for one or more persons having no permanent or other found-
ation than wheels or jacks, or substitutes therefor of a temporary
nature.
(b) "Trailer Camp "shall mean any site, lot, field, or
tract of land upon which one or more trailer coaches are placed,
and shall include any building, structure, tent, vehicle or en-
closure used or intended for use as a part of the equipment of
such camp.
(c) The use of tents and temporary buildings or structures
for dwellings are prohibited, except when approved by the Council.
(d) No trailer or camp car may be parked outside a duly
approved trailer camp. Any trailer or camp car, used as a dwelling,
and not pocated in a duly approved trailer ca±p, shall be deemed a
nuisance and if not removed within 72 hours, shall be impounded and
the owner shall be subject to the fines and penalties of this ordi-
nance.
(e) It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corpor-
ation, except for temporary purposes of repair, to remove or cause
to be removed the wheels oe any similar transporting device from a
trailer or camp car or otherwise permanently to fix it to the ground
in a manner that would prevent the ready removal of said trailer or
camp car.
(f) It shall be unlawful for the owner or the person or
persons in possession or control of any private property situate
within the corporate limits of the Town of Tukwila to establish,
maintain and operate therein and thereon a trailer carp, as defined
in this ordinance, witl}out first obtaining a license therefor from
the Town of Tukwila, nor shall he permit a trailer or camp car, at
any time when used for living and /or sleeping quarters, to be parked
on such private property unless and until the person in possession of
such trailer coach shall have exhibited to such owner, person in
possession or having .control of such private property, a written per-
mit therefor signed by the Council of the Town'of Tukwila.
SECTION 20. An,k person, firm or corporation who violates or refuses
or fails to comply with any of the provisions of this ordinance
shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punished by a fine not
exceeding 100.Q0 or by imprisonment not exceeding thirty(30) days,
or by both such fine and imprisonment.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect f
passage,signing and posting as provided by law.
