The recessed meeting of the Tukwila City Council was called to order by the ha.,yor
John B. Strander at 8:00 P.M. Councilmen present were Stan lankier, A.G. Radford,
E.W. Ives, Richard Bowen, William Aliment and R.X. royle.
First order of business was the discussion of a petition for a street vacation, this
presented to council by Mr. McMullen an interested party and his attorney ir. Jack
Smith. Mr. Hodge, City Attorney questioned Mr. Smith on the advantages and disadvantages
to the city of Tukwila on this street vacation.
iiayor Strander advised Mr. Hodge to study this further, to report on his findings at
the meeting of December 3, 1962 at 8:00 P.
Mr. Doyle made a temporary motion of approval subject to ir. Hodge's findings, seconded
by Mr. Ives and carried. Mr. Aliment abstained from voting in this instance.
A. plan for a sign for Abbott Laboratories was presented to council at this time.
Ives moved that council accept this sign seconded by Mr. Minkler and carried.
Meeting was adjourned at 9 :00 P.E.
