The regular meeting of the Tukwila City Council was called to order by the ?iayor,
John B. Strander at 8 :00 P.M. Councilmen present, were "tan rin'kler, Radford,
R.K. Doyle, F.W. Ives, Jerry Hamilton, Richard Bowen and rilliam Aliment.
The minutes of the November meeting were read and approved as read. The current bills
were examined and vouchers signed. Mr. Minkler moved that all bills approved by the
finance committee be allowed and warrants drawn for their respective amounts, seconded.

The Treasurer's report was read and accepted :.s read. The report of the water department
was read and placed on file.
In the absence of Mr. Long, Mayor trander gave the report of building permits issued
in November.
Mr. Radford reported for the street committee. Mr. Kinkier reported on the water dept.
Mr. Hamilton reported on sanitation. Yr. Reed discussed with council the findings of
a meeting with Coluccio Construction Co., in regard to payment of 1.I2 1/ 2 3
A total amount due is $29,195.33 less 151 retainage leaving a balance of `24,94.30.
to be paid. Mr. Hamilton moved that council approve this payment, seconded by ''r.
Bowen and carried.
Mr. Aliment reported for the Fire Department. Hr. y,inkler reported for the Police
Department. Mr. Doyle reported on Flood Control. Mr. Bowen reported on buildings
Offices. Mr. Ives reported on Parks Beautification. Yr. 2inkler reported for the
Planning Commission. 1•ir. Ives reported on Schools Vr. Hamilton reported on Licenses
and Mr. Doyle reported for Metro.
A plat was presented to council at this time, this in regard to Mr. Johnson.'s plat.
Mr. Minkler moved that council accept this plat, seconded by vir. Radford and carried.
Mr. Doyle moved that Ordinance 371 relating to a street vacation, be placed on it's
first reading seconded by Mr. °'.inkier and carried. Hr. Ives moved that Ordinance 1/ 3711::
be placed on its second reading, seconded by Mr. Hamilton and carried. Mr. ``ogle moved
that Ordinance 371 be placed on its third and final passage, seconded by '•`r. Bowen
and carried.
Mr. Radford moved that Ordinance 372 relating to the 1963 salaries be placed on its
first reading, seconded by by Mr. Hamilton and carried. Mr. Bowen moved that Ordinance
372 be placed on its second reading,seconded by Mr. Hamilton and carried. Mr. Loyle3-
moved that Ordinance 372 be placed on its third and final passage, seconded by Mr.
Hamilton and carried.
The bids for a new Street Department trick were presented to council at this time.
Bids were received from Grant's quburban Dodge for $3490.00 Renton Ford for 3,5 ?7.42
and from GMC for $3,420.54. This will be taken under advisement by the street committee
til the meeting of December 18, 1962.
A story featuringthe past Clerk Treasurer of Tukwila, Frs Newton was published in
the Record Chronicle over the Thnksgiving day week -end. as this was not delivered into
the Tukwila area, interested parties were given copies at this time.
Mr. Reed discussed with council the sewers in conjunction with Tukwila.
There being no further business for disciission, the meeting was recessed to re- convene
Tuesday December 1f, 1962
