Councilmen present were Stan Minkler, A.G. Radford, R.K. Doyle, E.W. Ives, Jerry A. Hamilton, Richard A. Bowen and Bill Aliment. The minutes of the April meeting were read and approved as read. Mr. Minkler moved that all bills approved by the finance committee be allowed and warrants drawn for their respective amounts, seconded by Tyr. Bowen and carried. r CURRENT EXPENSE G. The report of the Water Department was read and placed on file. 141 Mr. Long reported on the Building permits issued in the month of April. Mr. Raford reported for the Street Department. tr. Minkler reported for the ?-pater Department. Mr. Hamilton reported on Sanitation and the progress being made on the upcoming sewer system. Mr. Reed stated that three areas arc to be deleted from this project. The three areas in question are the "flat" area accross Interurban A. the hill side of 57th Street and 53rd street. Mr. Hamilton moved that an )rdinance be drawn up and that council publish for bids in readiness for the Sewer Project seconded by Mr. Bowen and carried. Mr. Aliment reported for the Fire Department. Mr. Minkler reported for the Police Department. Mr. Bowen reported on Public bldgs, and Grounds. The report on Parks and Beautification was given by Mr. Ives. Mr. Einkler reported for the Planning Commission and Mr. Ives reported on the schools. Several questions from the audience were ansered by council and the Engineer in re- gard to the sewers. Mr. Hamilton moved that a business license be granted to Stoneway Sand Gravel seconded by Mr. Aliment and carried. The business license for a Bud Bolter merchant Patrol) was accepted by council subject to approval by the Police Commission. Mr. Hamilton stated the license committee finds no cause to revoke the business license of Mr. Taylor. May 6, 1963 (Con't Mr. Doyle moved that Ordinance 379 relating to LID 6 in regard to streets be placed on its first reading, seconded by Mr. Bowen and carried. this read by Mr. Hodge. Mr. Doyle moved that Ordinance 379 be placed on its second reading, seconded by Mr. Bowen and carried Air. Doyle moved that Ordinance 379 be placed on its third and final passage, seconded by Mr. Ives and carried. Mr. Minkler moved that council instruct Mr. Reed to set up a hearing on Assessment of LID 2 3 for June 3, 1963 seconded by Mr. Aliment and carried. /u 'l There being no further business for discussion the meeting was recessed to re- convene Monday May 20, 1963 at 8:00 P.M.
