John B. Strander at 8 :00 P.M. Councilmen present were Stan Minkler, A.G. Radford,
R.K. Doyle, E.W. Ives Jerry A. Hamilton, Richard Bowen and Bill Aliment.
The minutes of the May meeting were read and approved as read. Mr. Minkler moved
that all bills approved by the finance committee be allowed and warrants drawn
for their respective amounts, seconded by Mr. Bowen and carried.

SEWER EXPENSE

The treasurer's report was read and approved as read. the report of the water
department was read and placed on file.
Mr. Long reported on building permits issued in the month of May.
Mr. Zepp gave a brif report on a recent water survey. Mr. Radford reported for the
Street Committee, a letter received from Harstad Associates in regard to a street
extension was discussed with council. Mr. Hamilton moved that this permit be allowed
subject to the the approval of the Street Committee, seconded by Mr. Aliment and
carried. Mr. Minkler reported on the Water Department. Mr. Hamilton reported for the
Sanitation Committee. Mr. Mack from the Bond Council explained the workings of the
Ordinances in conjunction to the resolution, this in regard to the sewer project
in the City of Tukwila
Mr. Hamilton moved that Ordinance No. 381 relating to the Sewer system be placed on
its first reading, seconded by Mr. Doyle and carried. Mr. Doyle moved that Ordinance
No. 381 be placed on its second reading, seconded by Mr. Hamilton and carried.
Mr. Doyle moved that Ordinance No. 381 be placed on its third and final passage
seconded by Mr. Minkler and carried. A public hearing in this regard was set for
June 24, 1963 in the Tukwila Community Hall.
Mr. Aliment reported for the Fire Department. Pr. Minkler reported for the Police
Department. A report on Buildings and grounds was given by Mr. Bowen. The City
Hall shall be painted in the very near future the color will be grey with white
trim. Mr. Doyle reported for Flood Control. Mr. Minkler reported for the Planning
Commission. Mr. Minkler read a letter in regard to a request for a rezone that
was received from a Mr. hemmerling The request for a rezone was denied, Mr. ,0
Hamilton moved that council instruct the attorney to write a letter to Mr. Hemmerling
advising him of Council action.
Mr. Hamilton movelid that council accept resolution No. 165 relating to the intended
Sewer system, seconded by Mr. Doyle and carried I
There being no further business for discussion the meeting was adjourned.
