AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE OPERATING OF MOTOR VEHICLES WITHIN THE TOWN OF
TUKWILA PROVIDING PENALTIES THEREFOR
AND REPEALING ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH.
SECTION 1. In order to make the ordinances of the Town of
Tukwila uniform with the Laws of tiie State of ,ashin all
of the provisions of the ashin ;ton Vehicle Act, being
Chapter 139 of the laws of tvashint; ton for the year 1937, and
as amended, are hereby adopted by the Town of Tukwila and by
reference mane a part of this ordinance, as though specifically
set forth herein.
SECTION 2. Any person violatins any of the terms of the laws
referred to in Section 1 of this ordinance within the limits of
the Town of Tukwila shall be `;ui1ty of a violation of t. i s or-
dinance.
SECTION 3.- Any violation or failure to co:1ply with any of
the provisions of said section of ordinance, shall con-
stitute a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof, shall-sub-
ject the offender to a fine of not more than 10J.00 or to
imprisonment for a period not to exceed thirty(30) days, or
to both such fine and imprmsonnient.
In addition to the above penalties the Police Judre of the
Town of Tukwila shall have full power and authority, in accord-
ance with the laws mentioned in Section 1 of this ordinance, to
suspend, revoke and cancel tie .':.otor Vehicle `,perator s license
of any person convicted in Police Court of negligent driving,
reckless driving, or driving under the influence of intoxicating
liquor or any narcotic drug.
SECTION 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
with this ordinance or any part of t.is ordinance, are hereby
repealed.
