June 9, 2023 Location: Hybrid City of Tukwila 6200 Southcenter Blvd. Tukwila, WA 98188 DRAFT SPECIAL MEETING Lodging Tax Advisory Committee Minutes 11:30 AM | April 21, 2023 Hybrid Meeting (Via Teams and at Hazelnut Conference Room at Tukwila City Hall) Members Present: Chair Delostrinos Johnson, Jim Davis, Mike West, and Ben Oliver Members Absent: Jean Thompson, Miesa Berry, and Brian Jones City Staff Present: Brandon Miles Others Present: Mark Everton, Seattle Southside RTA Agenda Item Action Follow-Up Welcome and Introductions Chair Delostrinos Johnson called the meeting to order at 11:32 AM. Committee members introduced themselves. None Review of Agenda Reviewed. None Approval of Minutes February 10, 2023, Meeting. None City of Tukwila 6200 Southcenter Blvd. Tukwila, WA 98188 Jim Davis made a motion, second by Ben Oliver to approve minutes. Special Presentations • None None None Pending Funding Requests • City of Tukwila (not to exceed $28,170) Brandon Miles and Mark Everton provided an overview of the PacNW funding request by the City of Tukwila to sponsor PacNW January tournaments. Approved 4-0. None General Business None Announcements Brandon Miles provided an update on some activities coming up with the Seawolves in the next few weeks. Roundtable Members asked if LTAC can we get an update from the police chiefs from the roundtable provided a few months ago. Can we bring back the public safety committee meetings the City had in the early 2000s? Could LTAC funds be used for some type of crime reduction strategy?
