HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes 2072 - 2024-2029 Transportation Improvement ProgramWashington Resolution No. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, ADOPTING A SIX-YEAR TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (2024- 2029), AND DIRECTING THE SAME TO BE FILED WITH THE STATE SECRETARY OF TRANSPORTATION AND THE TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT BOARD. WHEREAS, pursuant to the requirements of RCW Chapters 35.77 and 47.26, the City Council of the City of Tukwila has previously adopted a Transportation Improvement Program and thereafter periodically modified said Transportation Improvement Program by resolution; and WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the work accomplished under said program, determined current and future City street and arterial needs and, based upon these findings, has prepared a Six -Year Transportation Improvement Program for the ensuing six calendar years (2024-2029); and WHEREAS, on June 12, 2023, a public hearing was held regarding the City's Six - Year Transportation Improvement Program; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Program Adopted. A Six -Year Transportation Improvement Program for the calendar years 2024 to 2029, attached hereto as Exhibit A, is hereby adopted. Section 2. Filing of Program.
