HomeMy WebLinkAbout1966-07-18 Regular MinutesThe regular meeting of the Tukwila City council was called to order by the Mayor, John R. Strander at 8 :00 P.M. Counlmen present were Stan Minkler, A.G Radford, E.W. Ives, Richard A. Bowen, Dwight R. Gardner, Helen Nelsen and Robert B. Anderson. Also in attendance was city attorney Mr. Wesley Hodge and Mr. Paul Flint of McLean and Company. First order of business was the reading of the minutes of the July 5th meeting, the minutes were approved as read. Mr. Minkler moved that all bills approved by the finance committee he allowed with warrants drawn for their respective amounts, seconded by Mr. Bowen and carried. Mr. Minkler reported to council on his findings regarding the activity of Water District 75. Mr. Hodge was requested to drawn up an agreement that can be signed with water district 75, that the city can take over the the new lines when and if it would be feasible for the City. Mr. Ives speaking for the License committee stated that noting more has been forthcoming on a recent license application. Mayor Strander read a letter to council, received from the Bowing Company they will be leaving the Tukwila area within the near future as their train- ing center has been moved. Mr. Fujiki spoke to council on a meeting with Mr. Greathouse of Puget Western. A letter will follow with complete details. The street LID is progressing as per plan, as is the sewer LID, the only delay there is the Pump station. Miss Nelsen spoke to council about a rezone request received from C.T. Baker, this to be presented to the Planning Commission. It was brought'.to the attention of the council that old parked cars were and have been parked on a right of way for a length of time, with -)ut being moved as this could create a traffic hazard Chief Boze was asked to check this out. It was also noted that a family has moved into a dwell`ng that is non inhabitable, with no water or sewers, this also to be checked on. Mr. Hawley asked for some clarification on the new base map.
