Hi Dennis,
A 24" diameter tree is fairly substantial and we would like to see more than one replacement. We would also prefer that
they be large canopy shade trees with a minimum size of 2.5-inch caliper for deciduous trees or 6 to 8 feet in height for
evergreen trees. I will need more details about your proposal such as tree species, size and planting location before I can
approve the application.

the tree is approximately 2' round 4' from the ground. A a similar type tree would be planted in the same general area.

In reviewing your application for a tree removal permit I don't find the information Minnie Dhaliwal notified you would
be required:
• Diameter of the tree at 4' above grade
• Calculation of the number of replacement trees required per TMC 18.54.130 3 b

• Planting plan showing where the replacement trees will be planted

According to our maps the location of the tree is on a slope (15% grade or more —shaded area) and therefore a
tree permit is required to remove any tree and it is subject to replacement ratio under Tukwila Municipal Code
18.54. Here is the map showing the slope
The application for the tree permit is available online at http://www.tukwilawa.gov/dcd/apps/TreePermit.pdf It
should include information about the size of the tree and a plan where the replacement trees will be planted.
