NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City's Arts Commission will meet on September 27, 2023 at 6:00pm.
This meeting will be held in -person in the Executive Conference Room at the Tukwila Community Center, 12424
42nd Avenue South. The meeting will also be held on Microsoft Teams.

• Review draft grant process.
o Michael will ask about using the 1% fund for grants program.
o Pat suggested we wait until we learn more from the Strategic Arts planning
process.
• Cynthia reported that the restoration of the mural at the Performing Arts Center at
Foster High School has been completed.
o ASK: new placards are required. The cost will not exceed $600.
o The commission approved spending the funds needed to replace.

• Discuss Outreach for Strategic Arts Plan and next steps
o Michael learned that we want 20-25 people attending each session.
■ Michael will draft a shared document to track groups/individuals that TAC
members will ask.

• Equity & Social Justice Commission will offer an equity training session on Saturday,
October 7 from 9 am —1 p.m. at the Justice Center. Lunch and refreshments will be
provided. All city commissioners are invited and encouraged to attend.
o Michael will ask if this covers the requirement for commissioner equity training.
