This permit shall become null and void if the work is not commenced within 180 days for the date of issuance, or if
the work is suspended or abandoned for a period of 180 days from the last inspection.
PERMIT CONDITIONS:
1: ***BUILDING PERMIT CONDITIONS***
2: Work shall be installed in accordance with the approved construction documents, and any changes made
during construction that are not in accordance with the approved construction documents shall be
resubmitted for approval.
3: All permits, inspection record card and approved construction documents shall be kept at the site of work
and shall be open to inspection by the Building Inspector until final inspection approval is granted.
4: All construction shall be done in conformance with the Washington State Building Code and the
Washington State Energy Code.
5: There shall be no occupancy of a building until final inspection has been completed and approved by
Tukwila building inspector. No exception.
6: Remove all demolition rubble and loose miscellaneous material from lot or parcel of ground, properly cap
the sanitary sewer connections, and properly fill or otherwise protect all basements, cellars, septic tanks,
wells, and other excavations. Final inspection approval will be determined by the building inspector based
on satisfactory completion of this requirement.
7: Every occupied space other than enclosed parking garages and buildings used for repair of automobiles
shall be ventilated in accordance with the applicable provisions of the International Mechanical Code.
8: All plumbing and gas piping work shall be inspected and approved under a separate permit issued by the
City of Tukwila Building Department (206-431-3670).
9: All electrical work shall be inspected and approved under a separate permit issued by the City of Tukwila
Permit Center.
Dl VALIDITY DFPERMIT: The issuance or granting of a permit shall not be construed to be a permit for, or an
approval of, any violation of any of the provisions of the building code or of any other ordinances of the City
of Tukwila. Permits presuming to give authority to violate or cancel the provisions of the code or other

13: Extinguishers shall be located in conspicuous locations where they will be readily accessible and

RE: extension letter
On 11/18/2021 I wrote you in regards to a permit extension for permit M20-0005 which you
extended for me. I miss understood the process and in my error I didn't not include the building
permit D19-0223. Up to the point of requesting an inspection I thought I had an extension
therefor all the necessary work is completed. I was held up by a building final inspection on
separate permit (D20-0002) that didn't involve my store but involved the overall building. I am
asking for a extension (D19-0223) so that I may get the inspections necessary to open my
business. This has been a long process and crippling to my family and I. Between Covid 19 and
My old store being closed.

This letter is in response to your written request for extension of permit number D19-0223. The Building Official
has reviewed your letter and considered the situation outlined in your letter. It has been determined that the City of
Tukwila Building Department will not be extending the permit. As a result, this permit remains expired as
of 05/17/21.
Should you be interested in moving forward with your project, a new permit application, plans and documentation
will be required to be submitted via the online permit portal and issued by our department prior to continuing work.
Fees will be assessed in accordance with the fee schedule in effect at the time of the new application. To ensure a
complete submittal, application checklists and plan examples are available on the Online Permit Center.
If you have any questions regarding the online submittal process, feel free to contact the Permit Center at 206-431-
