Since the project includes alterations to the existing plumbing system, the entire plumbing system must be brought up to the current standards as set forth in the Uniform Plumbing Code including installation of an approved backflow prevention on the domestic, fire prevention and irrigation water supply lines to the building. The program requires elimination or control of any cross -connection between the distribution system and a consumer's water system by the installation of an approved backflow device. The City has determined that the building at the above address has deficiencies on the domestic water service. A Reduced Pressure Principle Assembly (RPPA) shall be installed behind the sidewalk immediately downstream of the existing 5/8" permanent water meter for premise isolation. The RPPA shall be installed in a Hot Box/Rock or equal freeze protection enclosure anchored into a minimum 4" thick concrete pad. On your site plan, show the property lines, sidewalk, location of the domestic water meter and proposed RPPA location. Call out size/manufacturer/model number of the proposed RPPA on plan. Include backflow cut sheet in your submittal. If you need assistance locating the above backflow deficiency in the field, please contact Mr. Dylan Bailey, Water District Superintendent at (206) 242-9547 or email at dylanbaiievAwaterdistrict125.com. This improvement requires a separate Public Works Type C Construction permit (application is attached). For a Type C permit, Public Works collects a base application and plan review fee ($250.00 plus 2.5% of construction cost for backflow installation, plus a small technology fee). An additional 2.5% of subject construction cost will be assessed at the time of permit issuance. The Public Works Director will withhold issuance of this permit until a separate Public Works backflow installation permit is applied for. The Applicant also has an option to post a bond or other financial guarantee for installation of the RPPA and deduct meter update in the amount equal to 150% of the design, installation and testing cost of the subject backflow, together with a letter confirming the installation in no more than 90 days from the day this letter is received. 6300 Building ' 6300 Southcenter Boulevard Suite 100 + Tukwila, VVA 98188 r 206-433-0179 Tukwila City Hall • 6200 Southcenter Boulevard • Tukwila, WA 98188 • 206-433-1800 • Website: TukwilaWA.gov PERMIT COC.;:.'7; COP1 PLAN REVIEW/ROUTING SLIP PERMIT NUMBER: D19-0290 PROJECT NAME: PAWS VIP INC SITE ADDRESS: 15848 TUKWILA INTL BLVD Original Plan Submittal X Response to Correction Letter # 1 DATE: 09/24/2019 Revision # Revision # before Permit Issued after Permit Issued DEPARTMENTS: Building vision Kati Pu lic orks Fire Prevention Structural n Planning Division P Permit Coordinator 111 PRELIMINARY REVIEW: Not Applicable (no approval/review required) REVIEWER'S INITIALS: DATE: 09/26/19 Structural Review Required DATE: APPROVALS OR CORRECTIONS: Approved n Corrections Required (corrections entered in Reviews) Approved with Conditions Denied (ie: Zoning Issues) DUE DATE: 10/24/2019 El T Notation: REVIEWER'S INITIALS: DATE: Permit Center Use Only CORRECTION LETTER MAILED: Departments issued corrections: Bldg El Fire D Ping EJ PW Staff Initials: 12/18/2013 PERMIT COORD COPY o PLAN REVIEW/ROUTING SLIP PERMIT NUMBER: D19-0290 DATE: 09/05/19 PROJECT NAME: PAWS VIP INC SITE ADDRESS: 15848 TUKWILA INTERNATIONAL BLVD X Original Plan Submittal Response to Correction Letter # Revision # before Permit Issued Revision # after Permit Issued DEPARTMENTS: rivR 614im°-1 1 Building Division gm OMR Public Works Structural Pr tA ktA)C AAP • Fire Prevention PRELIMINARY REVIEW: Not Applicable (no approval/review required) Planning Division Permit Coordinator 11111 DATE: 09/10/19 Structural Review Required REVIEWER'S INITIALS: DATE: APPROVALS OR CORRECTIONS: Approved Corrections Required (corrections entered in Revie Notation: Approved with Conditions Denied (ie: Zoning Issues) DUE DATE: 10/08/19 REVIEWER'S INITIALS: DATE: Permit Center Use Only CORRECTION LETTER MAILED: Departments issued corrections: 131c143( Fire Ping El PW Staff Initials: 12/18/2013 Received at the City of Tukwila Permit Center by: Entered in TRAKiT on q CP- Date: 0 City of Tukwila REVISION SUBMITTAL Department of Community Development 6300 Southcenter Boulevard, Suite #100 Tukwila, Washington 98188 Phone: 206-431-3670 Web site: http://www.TukwilaWA.gov Revision submittals must be submitted in person at the Permit Center.
