We recommend that material of adequate size and strength be purchased from a reputable tower manufacturer. Towers are designed hocarry gravity, vind, and ice loads. All members, |ego, diagono|o, utnuts, and redundant members provide structural stability bzthe tower with little redundancy. Absence orremoval ufamember can trigger catastrophic failure unless a substitute is provided before any removal. Legs carry axial loads and derive their strength from shorter unbraced lengths by the presence of redundant members and their connection to the diagonals with bolts orwelds.
