here. Each tenant space appears to already have met its limits for permanent building mounted sigs. This topic is

S. No portion of the projecting sign shall be lower

6. Projecting signs may utilize rotating mechanical
displays.
D. Corner Projecting Sign. In order tofoster an urban style
environment, acorner projecting sign may besubstituted
fora projecting sign allowed under Section 19.20.050.C, when
the following standards are met:
1. Signs shall only bepermitted inthe TUC and NC[
zones.
J.Signs are only permitted onthe corners ofbuildings
that are built tothe minimum zoning setbacks oftwo public
streets mra private street developed to public standards including
sidewalks and landscaping. One corner projecting s|gnis
permitted for each corner ofabuilding that meets the above
standards.
3.Public entrances must beprovided directly from
the adjacent public ri8ht'of-xvayinto the tenant space inorder to
qualify for acorner projecting sign.
4. Signs shall benotaller than I5feet from the bottom -most
part ofthe sign tothe tallest part ofthe sign and may
not extend above the wall onwhich itismounted.
5.Sign area islimited to7Ssquare feet per face ora
total of1SOsquare feet for all faces.
G. Signs shall project no more than six feet from the
fagadeofthe building. |nnocase shall the sign extend out

Dear Mr. CJ Williams,
Thank you for your phone call regarding Pole banner signs.
This type of sign is covered in chapter 19.20.060 of the Tukwila Municipal Code. I have attached this section of our code
as well as the application that would be required for this permit.
19.20.060 Pole Banners
A. Pole banners are permitted in the Tukwila Urban
Center zone and on properties that contain a Public Recreation
Overlay as defined by Title 18 of the Tukwila Municipal Code.
B. Pole banners may only be attached to parking lot light
poles on private property.
C. Banners may have periodic changes in copy without
submittal for a new sign permit.
D. The maximum area per banner is 10 square feet, with
a limit of 2 banners per pole.
E. The lower edge of the banner must be at least 12 feet
above grade.
F. Annual renewal of the banner permit is required.
(Ord. 2275 §9, 2012; Ord. 2323 §5, 2010)
For the property we spoke about, you would be allowed to place pole banners on the light poles, but not on the
building. Any banners placed on a building are treated as a temporary sign and would only be allowed for thirty days a
time, once per quarter.
