Outlet duct connection is flanged. Total metal encapsulation of all insulation edges. Hanger Brackets provided. Side access is provided. Filter -Afilter io provided on the plenum |n|oL Agency Listing - UL and Canadian UL listed as environmental air terminal unit. ULControl #9NU5. All Tnaneterminal units are AHR|8MO-88certified. General Unit Clearance Leave a minimum of 36" on control box side of unitfor adequate service access. Allow at least 12" on remaining sides for unit clearance. A minimum of one and one half duct diameters of straight duct work, upstream of the air inlet connection, should be present for optimum airflow measurement performance. Upstream duct work should be the same diameter as the primary inlet connection. Electrical Installation Information For electrical connections, consult field wiring section & equipment IOM. IMPORTANT. Field Wirinct Most fan -powered VAV terminal units with electric reheat require a neutral connection from building power, however, some configurations donot. In order to prevent a building wiring issue once the boxes are installed, the wiring diagrams and field wiring installation for each unit MUST be checked to determine whether the neutral is required or not required. 1~[25.4mnm]Matte - Faced Insulation The interior surface of the unit casing is acoustically and thermally lined with 1", 1.5|b/cu.fLcomposite density glass fiber with high density facing. The insulation iaULlisted and meets NFPA-9UAand UL181standards. All insulation options will meet the 25/5Osmoke developed and flame spread rating (per ASTK4 E84and UL723and CAN/ULC S102-M88) Meets NFPA- 90B. No exposed edges of insulation [complete metal encapsulation]. The insulation R-value is 3.85. All cut edges of insulation are completely encapsulated in metal to prevent erosion. 1203SQ Air Valve/Fan Combination Size (Parm||w|) 12" Inlet designed for up to 2000.0 cfm. Agency Listing - The unit is UL and Canadian UL listed as a room air terminal unit, UL Control # 91465. All Trane terminal units are AHR|8M0'S8certified. General Unit Clearance Allow adequate clearance oncontrol box side ofunit tomeet NEC. Aminimum cfone and one half duct diameters oY straight duct work, upstream of the air inlet connection, must be present for optimum airflow measurement performance. Upstream duct work should be the same diameter as the primary inlet connection. Allow access to the bottom of unit if Optional Bottom Access Door ioselected. I "Matte 'Faced Insulation The interior surface of the unit casing is acoustically and thermallylined with 1" 1.00 lb.cu. ft. [16.0 kg./cu. m.] composite density glass fiber with 4Dlb. cu. ft. [G4ko./cu.m]high density facing. The insulation iaULlisted and meets NFPA'90A and UL181 standards. The insulation R-value is 3,85. All cut edges of insulation are completely encapsulated in metal to prevent erosion. Air Valve Size ~85 Air Valve is 350,0 cfm 5" inlet. Air Valve Size -0@ Air Valve Size '08 Air Valve is 900.0 cfm 8" inlet. Air Valve Round The air inlet connection is an 18 gauge galvanized steel cylinder sized to fit standard round duct. A multiple point, averaging flow sensing ring is provided with balancing taps for measuring within +/- 5% of unit cataloged airflow. An airflow versus pressure differential calibration chart is provided. The damper blade is constructed of a closed cell foam seal mechanically locked between two 22gauge galvanized steel disks. The damper blade assembly ioconnected through mcast zinc stub axle and shaft supported byself lubricating bearings. The shaft iacast with odamper position indicator. The valve assembly includes a mechanical stop to prevent over stroking. At 4.0" w.g. air valve leakage does not exceed 1% of cataloged o|dlovv. Slip & Drive Connection A slip and drive connection has two straight flanges on the top and bottom, and two drive connections on the left and right sides. This is a standard option on all VAVs|ng|e duct terminal units. DUCT STATIC PRESSURE IS RESET USING A TRIM AND RESPOND SEQUENCE TO MAINTAIN 10% (ADJ) OF THE BOXES IN AN AIR STARVED STATE. THE ECONOMIZER AND MECHANICAL COOLING ARE STAGED AS NEEDED TO MAINTAIN THE RESETTING DISCHARGE AIR TEMPERATURE SETPOINT. ECONOMIZER IS USED AS THE FIRST STAGE OF COOLING AND MECHANICAL COOLING IS USED IN CONJUNCTION WITH ECONOMIZER UNTIL THE OUTSIDE AIR TEMPERATURE IS NO LONGER SUITABLE FOR USE IN ECONOMIZER. WHEN THE OUTSIDE AIR IS NOT SUITABLE FOR ECONOMIZER USE, THE OSA DAMPER IS MODULATED TO THE MINIMUM OUTSIDE AIR FLOW SETPOINT AS MEASURED AT THE AFMS. MINIMUM POSITION IS ADJUSTED BY THE DDC SYSTEM TO MAINTAIN TOTAL OUTSIDE AIR NEEDED FOR SPACE VENTILATION AS CALCULATED BY MONITORING THE CO2 AND OCCUPANCY SENSORS AT THE ZONE LEVEL. UNOCCUPIED MODE: THE SUPPLY FAN IS OFF, AND THE OUTSIDE AIR DAMPER IS CLOSED. MECHANICAL COOLING IS DISABLED NIGHT SETBACK: NIGHT SETBACK HEATING IS ACCOMPLISHED AT THE ZONE LEVEL. SEE VAV SEQUENCE BELOW NIGHT SETUP: WHEN THE DDC SYSTEM MEASURES A COOLING DEMAND (AVERAGE OF ALL BOXES SERVED BY THIS UNIT) GREATER THAN 35%(ADJ), THE UNIT IS ENABLED AND OPERATES AS IN THE OCCUPIED MODE TO PROVIDE NIGHT SET UP COOLING TO THE VAV BOXES. MORNING WARMUP: THE BMS MONITORS THE OUTSIDE AIR TEMPERATURE AND DETERMINES A SUITABLE START TIME FOR MORNING WARM UP. THE AHU REMAINS OFF WITH THE OUTSIDE AIR DAMPERS CLOSED UNTIL THE AVERAGE SPACE TEMPERATURE OF THE FAN POWERED VAV BOXES REACHES THE ROOM TEMPERATURE SET POINT. WHEN THE AVERAGE ROOM TEMP SETPOINT IS REACHED, THE UNIT FAN IS STARTED, (OSA DAMPER CLOSED) AND AIR IS RECIRCULATED THROUGH THE SPACE UNITL THE INTERIOR (SQUEEZE BOX) ZONES ARE AT TEMPERATURE, SEE VAV SEQUENCE FOR FURTHER INFORMATION. MANUAL MODE: THE DDC SYSTEM SHALL INCLUDE A MANUAL MODE SOFTWARE SWITCH WHERE THE OPERATING AGENT CAN TOGGLE THE OPERATION OF FANS COMPRESSORS AND ECONOMIZER DAMPERS TO VERIFY OPERATION. FAULT DETECTION AND DIAGNOSTICS: IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE HIGH EFFICIENCY VAV CODE, FAULT DETECTION AND DIAGNOSTICS SHALL DETECT AND REPORT TEMPERATURE SENSOR FAILURES, ECONOMIZER ACTIVITY WHEN THE OSA IS NOT SUITABLE FOR ECONOMIZER, NO ECONOMIZER ACTIVITY WHEN THE OUTSIDE AIR IS SUITABLE FOR USE, AND OUTSIDE AIR OR RETURN AIR DAMPER FAILURE.
