The comment was to show sewer discharge and the location of the discharge meter. Lakeridge has said that they are shown on their drawings. There was a meeting on site to discuss. During that meeting with Scott Moore, PW Inspector, ti was determined that the correct water meter is shown on the drawings. Scott is now satisfied as for the correction letter. I am asking for an extension to this permit for the following reasons: 1. Revised drawings have been submitted to the city where there was a change in engineer (from Auburn to Lakeridge) with revised drawings. These have not had a final review within the city. 2. The city is now closed so work is trying to be done remotely, so permit reviews are lagging 3. There has been a hold up of work at the plant due to the pandemic issues going on to keep the plant staff safe. These issues are being resolved but construction will not be completed nor inspections called for before the expiration date. I believe these are adequate to allow for the extension of the permits. I have the following comments to your corrections: 1. I have completed a revised application for which more clearly describes the work under phase 2. The piping being done is underground (nothing overhead) and no need for structural engineering. 2. No special inspections are required 3. Phasing has been delineated via a comment letter from Auburn Mechanical which has described Phase 1 construction as well as this Phase 2 construction and Phase 3 construction for more clarity. I have attached the Auburn mechanical comment letter for your information. I believe this will be adequate to answer your corrections so you can complete your review. Per Auburn Mechanical, they feel the drawings are clear enough with dark line weights and the balance of background light, to differentiate the new and existing. I will be submitting a separate permit to Public Works for the Phase 3 outside sewer connection with their requirements under your comment letter for PG19-0144. Please clarify and cloud area of work, show existing and new work on plans. * Can you revise the PDF with the work area clouded? The scope of work is pretty clear on the drawings. Per comment 4 below, I think they want me to show all the phase-1 & 2 work on the phase 3 drawing. This will take a little time but isn't too hard. 1. Provide cut sheets and any other pertinent information associated work being done. * We think this one relates back to el. If the job description is correct, the only cut sheets would be for underground pipe. What are your thoughts? • Agree. The submittals are part of a separate permit. To be helpful, a reference submittal binder could be submitted with information from the other projeCts. 1. A general floor plan of whole Shasta plant with all equipment will not suffice for plans. They must show details and description of all relevant equipment, parts and lines. * Again, we think related to the permit application scope of work. No equipment in this phase. Your thoughts? A 6" diameter schedule 40 water filled pipe will be hung from the existing purlins used in this roof system. The existing drawings from 1967 show the 4x14 purlins to be DF construction grade spaced at 8'-0" o.c. and spanning between 7" wide glulam beams spaced at 20'-0" o.c. I have calculated the strength of the purlins using values from the 1964 'IBC and found the roof structure to be acceptable. I also reviewed the attachment that will be used. The contractor intends to use a Sammys Sidewinder lagged to the side of the purlin with a 3/8" threaded rod hung down less than 12" to the bracket that will hold the pipe. This is structurally acceptable. I have attached a copy of my calculations. If you have any questions or need additional information, please give me a call.
