AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION OF THE GOLDEN
ARROW FAEMS DAIRY TD THE TOWN OF TUKWILA AND INCORPORATING
THE SAME WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS THEREOF; ALSO FuRTHER
PROVIDING FOR THE TOWN OF TUI WILA TO VACATE A PORTION OF
MACADAM ROAD UPON ANNEXATION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TCWI'I COUNCIL CIL OF THE TOWN OF TUKWILA
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Whereas, there was heretofore and timely filed
with the Town Clerk of the Town of Tukwila a petition address-
ed to the Mayor and'Council of the Town of Tukwila and signed
by Mr. Herman C. Anderson and his wife,Mrs. Grace C. Anderson,
owners of the hereinafter described property and seeking to
incorporate the said property within the corporate limits of
the Town of Tukwila, and make the same part of said Town.
SECTION 2. Whereas, the Legislature of the State of Washing-
ton has provided that on the filing of such a petition of annex-
ation, with the signatures of the owners thereof, the Council
may,by ordinance .and after due hearings, incorporate such pro-
perty into the Town.
SECTION 3. Whereas, notice of such hearing was posted in
several public places in the Town of Tukwila and the date of
July 6,1948 at the hour of 8 :00 of clack P.M.,at the Town Hall,
as the time and place for a public hearing upon the petition
for annexation of the following described property.
SECTION 4. It is ordained and ordered that the following des-
cribed property, known as the Golden Arrow Farms Dairy, and sit-
uated in the County of King, and the State of Washington, and
contiguous to the Town of Tukwila and encompassed as an island
of land, bounded by ,Macadam Road and 65 th. Ave. South on the
north, east and west and by State Highway 1 -L on the south; be
and the same is hereby annexed to and incorporated into the
Town of Tukwila.
SECTION 5. Be it further ordained; that the Town of Tukwila
will, upom annexation of the above described property, vacate
that portion of street to the north of the Golden Arrow Farms
Dairy, and known as Macadam Road, except that portion of Mac-
adam Road from the junction with State Highway 1 -L to the west
line of Tract No.3 of Valley View Tracts. This portion of
Macadam Road, so excepted, must remain open at all times.
SECTION 6.This ordinance shall be in full force
five days from and after its passage, approval and
lication as provided by law.
