NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City's Arts Commission will meet on June 28, 2023 at 6:00pm.
This meeting will be held in -person in the Executive Conference Room at the Tukwila Community Center, 12424
42nd Avenue South. The meeting will also be held on Microsoft Teams.

LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT: The City of Tukwila is located on the ancestral lands of the
Coast Salish people. We acknowledge their continuing connections to land, waters, and
culture. We pay our respect to their elders past, present and emerging.

Commissioner Reports (open discussion)
• Review draft grant process.
- Pat Bako recommends unrestricted grants. Project -based grants are difficult to
manage. It also reduced barriers.
- Pinky Estell commented that determining the report -back is important.
Pat Bako also brought up.
- Artists living and working in Tukwila.
- How/who for contact and questions regarding grants.
Award amounts for individuals versus groups.
- System for applying.

- Can we use our 1% for Arts for Grants.
- Commissioners will review and add comments for Pat for the next meeting.
• "Float Boats" print delivery to Olympia.
- Shawn will look into adding a plaque both language and sourcing.

• Second Community Session (virtual): Thursday 10/12, 11 a.m. — 1 p.m.

Strategic Planning Sessions with Arts Leadership Team (Commissioners/City
