1. CaII to Order — Meeting called to order at 10:04am by Chair Jan Bolerjack.
2. Member Changes
A. Stacy Hansen announced that Tukwila resident Andrew Hays will join the board in 2023 filling the
open resident -member position. The board needs to fill one remaining spot, representing the
business community.
B. Vice Chair Jan Bolerjack will move into the Chair position. Julie Herdt motioned to approve Terra
Straight as the new Vice Chair. All members agreed and motion passed with unanimous consent.
3. Update on Human Services Funding 2023-2024
A. Contracting is in process for 36 programs. City staff are meeting with agencies to review Scope of
Work from RFPs before finalizing contracts, getting signatures, and submitting contracts to Clerk's
office.
B. Stacy Hansen will give a presentation to City Council in March providing an overview of the Human
Services funding process and outcomes.
C. Jenny Ayres shared the new Tukwila Human Services Providers' Guide.
4. Member Sharing
A. Julie Herdt shared that Tukwila School District is accepting applications for kindergarten and pre-
school. There has been an increase in families struggling with housing instability.
B. Jan Bolerjack shared that Best Starts for Kids staff person, Amber, is at capacity for case load.
