SUBJECT: Equity & Social Justice Commission Appointment
ISSUE
We currently have a vacancy on the Equity and Social Justice Commission. I am recommending the
following appointment as outlined below.
Equity and Social Justice Commission
Former Councilmember Kathy Hougardy served as the City Council Representative on the
Equity and Social Justice Commission since April 2014, and would like to continue serving on
the Commission as a community member. Position 5 is currently vacant. I am recommending
the appointment of Kathy Hougardy to Position 5. The term for this position ends March 31,
2025. Her application is attached for your review.
RECOMMENDATION
I am recommending this appointment be confirmed by Council at the January 22, 2024, Special
Meeting.
