1. Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 6:01pm
2. Roll Call
a. Board Members: Cynthia Chesak, Marie Parrish, Steve Miller, Robin Boland, Verna Seal

• Absent: Angie Gonzalez
b. Staff:
• City of Tukwila Staff: John Dunn
• King County Library System Staff: Mary Sue Howser
3. Land Acknowledgement — Robin Boland read the land acknowledgement:

4. Approval of Agenda and Minutes — January 2, 2024
a. Agenda: Steve Miller motioned to approve the Agenda. Marie Parrish seconded the motion; all
were in favor.
b. Minutes: Steve Miller motioned to approve the Minutes as amended. Robin Boland seconded
the motion; all were in favor.
5. Public Comment: No public comments
6. Unfinished Business:
a. Robin Boland led a discussion on the placement of the second little library to be located near
Cascadeview Elementary School pathway.
7. New Business
a. Verna Seal led a discussion on potentially visiting a future City Council meeting to talk during
Public Comments.
8. Reports
a. KCLS: Mary Sue Howser provided information for the Board regarding programs and services in
the county and Tukwila.
