12. Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 6:02pm

14. Land Acknowledgement — Robin Boland read the land acknowledgement:

15. Approval of Agenda and Minutes — February 6, 2024
a. Agenda: Cynthia Chesak motioned to approve the Agenda. Marie Parrish seconded the motion;
all were in favor.
b. Minutes: Steve Miller motioned to approve the Minutes. Robin Boland seconded the motion; all
were in favor.
16. Public Comment: No public comments
17. Unfinished Business:
a. Little Libraries: John Dunn shared the Macadam Winter Garden Little Library will be installed this
month. Cynthia Chesak reported she talked with a school Dist. Rep to get approval to place the
second little library to be located near Cascadeview Elementary School pathway.
18. New Business
a. Council Visit: The Board discussed how the public comment section went on the March 4tn
Council meeting. They also discussed future reporting and ways to share the importance of
what KCLS and the TLAB do.
19. Reports
a. KCLS: Mary Sue Howser provided information for the Board regarding programs and services in
the county and Tukwila.
b. City of Tukwila: John Dunn provided an update on City and Parks and Recreation events,
programs and other information.

20. Other:
a. Librarian Visits: The board discussed having various librarians visit either in person or virtually
the board meetings in the future to talk about the programs and work that they do. The board
discussed and would like to hold the May 7th meeting at the Tukwila Library.
b. Book Club: Parks & Recreation is starting a book club in conjunction with the May 9' Debbie
Demetri event on Women's Suffrage. More information to come.
