Council President Abdi called the Tukwila City Council meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. and led the audience
in the Pledge ofAllegiance.

PUBLIC COMMENTS
1 Dave Puki encouraged Councilmembers to perform due diligence prior to making decisions on
the dais. He expressed concern regarding a proposal to reduce the public comment time limit to 3
2. Greg Sherlock emphasized the importance ofaUmwingresidentstospeak to their local elected
officials and urged the Council' to vote against reducing the public comment time limit.
3. Joe Duff ie spoke against marijuana retailers in the City and the need for greater investments in
apprenticeship programs. He urged the Council to vote, against reducing the public comment time

commenters, the onboarding period for Councilmembers, and swearing in new elected officials prior to
the first meeting ofthe year.
