PERMIT CONDITIONS:

2: A copy of the electrical worpermit shall be posted or otherwise made readily accessible to the Electrical
Inspector at each work site.
3: Approved plans shall be maintained at the construction site and shall be readily available to the Electrical
Inspector.
4: All electrical work shall be in accordance with NFPA 70 - NEC, anci requirementsfor electrical installations,
Chapter 296-469 WAC and the Washngton Cities Electrical Code.
5: When any portion ofthe electrical installation is to be hidden from view by permanent placement of paris
of the building, such equipment shall not be concealed until it has been inspected and approved by the
Electrical Inspector.
6: The issuance of an electrical work permit shall not be corrstrued to be a permit for, or an approval of, any
violation of the provisions of the electrical code or other ordinances of the jurisdiction. Permits or related
documentation that presumes to grant this authority are therefore not valid.
7: Any change in the scope of work described by the electrical work permit shall require additional work
permits. Where approved plans have been issued, revisions to the plans and additional review may be
required.

I am in receipt of letters from Bill Rambo, permit tech, that the above permit will expire
on 4-15-20 and that there are outstanding comments. I am asking for an extension to
this permit for the following reasons:
1. There has been a hold up of work at the plant due to the pandemic issues going
on to keep the plant staff safe.
2. There is a delay in the response from the engineers due to the pandemic. They
are working on the responses to the correction letter.
These issues are being resolved but construction will not be completed nor inspections
called for before the expiration date. I believe these are adequate to allow for the
extension of the permits.

In reviewing our current application files, it appears that your permit applied for on 10/15/2019, has not been issued by the City of
Tukwila Permit Center. Per the International Building Code, International Mechanical Code, Uniform Plumbing Code and/or
National Electrical Code every permit application not issued within 180 days from the date of application shall expire and become
null and void. Currently your application has a status of COMMENTS OUT and is due to expire on 4/15/2020.
If you still plan to pursue your project, you are hereby advised to do one of the following:
I) If the plan review is complete for the project and your application is approved, you may pick up the application before
the date of expiration. At the time of permit issuance the expiration date will automatically be extended 180 days.
-or-
2) If the plan review is not completed submit a written request for application extension (7) seven days in advance of the
expiration date. Address your extension request to the Building Official and state your reason(s) for the need to extend your
application.
The Building Code does allow the Building Official to approve one extension of up to 90 days. If it is determined that your extension
request is granted, you will be notified by mail.
In the event that we do not receive your written request for extension or request is denied, your permit application will expire and
your project will require a new permit application, plans and specifications, and associated fees.
