The resolution also called for the City Council to reevaluate the pilot meeting schedule framework no later than July 1, 2024. The current schedule is as follows: 5:30 p.m. 7:00 p.m. 1st Monday Work Session Regular Meeting 2nd Monday Community Services & Safety Committee Planning & Community Development Committee Committee of the Whole 3rd Monday Work Session Regular Meeting 4th Monday Finance & Governance Committee Transportation & Infrastructure Services Committee Committee of the Whole Due to the turnover on the City Council this year, the work session meetings were intended to provide opportunities for Councilmembers to get up to speed on big topics, to foster full group collaboration, and to present significant information to all members at the same time. Six months in, committees have been operating successfully within the monthly schedule and work sessions have been held on topics including risk management, Capital Improvement Program, Robert’s Rules, biennial budget, and Comprehensive Plan. Staff recommends continuing with this meeting schedule for the remainder of the year and reevaluating in early 2025. Work sessions are currently being planned for Council discussion on Tukwila South Development Agreement, Public Works Shops Phase 2, Comprehensive Plan, Budget, and tenant protections. RECOMMENDATION Discussion only. 3
