The City Council is dedicated to creating a budget that mirrors the community's priorities. Resident participation is crucial in shaping the new budget, influencing financial decisions that impact Tukwila. The City values your input and promises to integrate it into the budget development process. This user-friendly tool helps residents make informed choices about essential services, guiding the City Council in precise budget decisions. Yard Sale The 29th Tukwila Community Yard Sale will take place on Saturday, August 3, 2024. Sign up today to hold a sale at your home at the same time as other Tukwila residents. Clean your closets, earn money, shop for bargains, and meet your neighbors while you support reuse and recycling. Yard sale hours will be 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sellers will be able to pick up 11" x 17" yard sale signs at City Hall beginning on July 22. A map of all registered sites will be posted online by August 1. To be included on the map, sign up by July 19. Signups will close on July 19, 2024. The Tukwila Tree Giveaway is back for the third year to help grow our tree canopy in the city! In partnership with King Conservation District, the City of Tukwila is offering 2 free trees to all Tukwila residents and businesses. We have 10 different tree species to choose from - there is something for everyone! Check out the 2024 Tree Selection Guide and submit an application before August 29th to secure your free trees. The tree giveaway will be on October 5th at Hazelnut Park with limited tree delivery the week after October 5th.
