This meeting will be held in -person and on Teams in the Executive Conference Room at the Tukwila Community Center,

5. Introduction of consultant developing the Tukwila Teen Art Collective: Grey Ellis
• Commissioners were invited to work with Grey Ellis regarding their community contacts and
possible opportunities.
6. Commissioners Reports
• Ongoing Business
o Sheila Coppola will email the finalized Portrait Project details to commissioners
■ ACTION ITEM: Commissioners approved the first community member portrait
of Jan Bolerjack of Riverton Park United Methodist Church. The total amount
allocated: $1050 (includes stipend and funds for canvas)
o Shawn Belyea gave updates to the proposed artist grant program. He will share this with
Pat Bako, who will share it with the commission.
o Annual Arts Festival: commissioners discussed the possibility of hosting the first event at
Hazelnut Park.
• New Business
o Cynthia Chesak proposed next year's Utility Box Art Program include boxes near the
schools and student artwork. She will learn more about what boxes are available.

• New Business: Kamala Kakaria's TAC application has been received by the Mayor's Office. A
background check is currently underway as part of the process.
