HomeMy WebLinkAbout1972-04-04 Adjourned MinutesThe continued meeting of the Tukwila City Council was called to order by Mayor Frank Todd at 8:05 P.M. Councilman Dwayne Traynor was appointed Clerk Pro -Tem. Councilmen present were: J.R. Johanson, D.R. Gardner, G.D. Hill, J.D. Sterling, L.A. Stevens and D.D. Traynor. BID OPENING PUBLICATION OF LEGAL DOCUMENTS Councilman Johanson opened and read the bids received for publication of legal documents. Bids were received from the Record Chronicle and the Highline Times. Mr. Johanson then read the legal notice as published. Mayor Todd noted that the bid from the Highline Times meets the specifications as stated in the legal notice but the bid from the Record Chronicle does not. Mr. Johanson made a motion the bids be held in abeyance until the Thursday nights meeting. Motion seconded by Mr. Hill and carried. Mr. Hall was asked to invite a representative from each paper to attend this meeting and explain their bids as submitted. CORRESPONDENCE DRAINAGE PROBLEM Mayor Todd asked for a motion to deviate from the agenda so that a letter could be read from Hill, Ingman, Chase and Co. regarding a drainage problem on the Donald Sipe property. Mr. Hill made the motion, seconded by Mr. Johanson and carried. Mr. Hall read the letter. During the street construc- tion project on 62nd Ave. South the lot to the North of the Don Sipe residence was filled creating a drainage problem on the Sipe property. Mayor Todd asked the opinion of the City Attorney regarding this letter. Mr. Parker stated he thought Tri -State Construction should be contacted regarding this matter as they were the contractor on the job. There being no further business Mr. Traynor moved the meeting be continued until Thursday evening enabling them to pay the current bills at that time. Motion seconded by Mr. Hill and carried.
